my mom, best angry letter writer ever.
My name is Kathleen Veazey Cook, I am the daughter of Edward Joe Veazey, owner number 839024. My father and mother have both passed away and I am the executor of their trust.
I appreciate your taking the time to read this, and hope that you will be able to help me, as I am becoming increasingly frustrated. I am trying to get copies of the division orders of the two properties that my father owns a working interest in. They are property number 732205 (McGee 1) and 732218 (Riley 1). I need this information in order to file the Oklahoma estate tax return. I have sold their house, and need to file this return before I can close on the property.
I have called the contact number at Chesapeake a number of times since last Thursday, and have only been able to get through to a live person once (Christina, no last name). When I explained what I needed, she told me to fax in all of the information. She did not give me a contact name, only that it should be addressed to the division order analyst. Yesterday evening, I faxed into your office, copies of the trust agreement, pour over wills, the comprehensive transfer document, their death certificates, and copies of my birth certificate, divorce decree, and my marriage license (to allow you to trace my name change). So, if the division order group is wondering what in the hell that huge fax is all about, well, now you know. She also told me that she would get the division order out to me, or have the analyst call me with the information a.s.a.p. It has been a week now, and I still have not heard from anyone.
I realize that you will need certified copies of the death certificates, and a written letter mailed to you to affect the ownership change, and I will do so. But, I would think that the information that I have been requesting, would be more readily available. All I am asking, is, won’t someone PLEASE, pick up the phone and call me, or e-mail me, or send me a smoke signal, or get in touch with me by any method they prefer, to try and assist me with this request?
A little communication from a live person, with a name and a phone number, and who works for Chesapeake Energy, would be greatly appreciated. As I have NO desire to ride the “Please select an option from the following list” automated non-communication merry-go-round again. I have wasted enough time in that cyber hole already.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from someone soon.
Expectantly,
Kathleen Veazey Cook
